CROCHET TIME: MAKING A CROCHET MASK

 .: Assalamualaikum:.

So, because of Covid-19, our country last time short stock of mask. I even that time went-back to a plenty of shops in several time to find the mask for daily usage. Unfortunately the stock really not in market. 

Since that time (on February) I thought of making a crochet mask but I not having much time to create the pattern. Luckily there were a crochet group on Facebook shared the diagram pattern.

I am so lucky so I decide to make it one for myself. You know it is better to protect ourselves pretty well since Corona doesn't give us a chance. Once it in there hard  to go out!

The pattern pretty simple I thought. It contain of ch, hdc, dc, sl st. Pretty easy with 14 layers. Even though it easy even thoughI took half day to making it 😂. Yeah lazy me is lazy.

How do you think about my first crochet mask?

Reading pattern is easy but to understand it as whole will take a time. And I was done making myself a sexy mask face 😁

Every time I went out to do some work, I wore it pretty well. So many eyes starred at me but it's okey. Maybe My mask pretty outstanding with the red color😏. Red is my favorite color anyway.

At hospital to took my dad's medicine

Since the mask is not really help for filtering process (yes, why you wore it at first? It's because to avoid carona right?) I put tissue inside. The tissue I folded into two so it kinda thick and I can avoid from being cluster. At least.

After several time, I just want my mask become girlish so I put flowers on it 😂😂😂. Beside putting tissue alone, this time I made a layer with cotton cloth inside. I think it was better than putting tissue alone as a filter. So my mask has 3 of filtration layer which means ...SAFE to use!

Since I wore it anywhere I went, it attracted people. When i uploaded the picture wearing the mask face (just to share my excited state moment having my own mask face), plenty asked me to make one or two for them.

From making one or two, I then made it more than 50 pieces I think because everyone asked me for it.. hihi. So, I got some backup income during PKP which I felt soooooooooo happy and yeah!. Who gonna say no for money fall from sky right!

With that money I bought my cat some medical stuffs since Pippin was diagnosed with sporotrichosis. 

I am so grateful all this time coz I had some back up or side income that I never though I can get it!

I mean it was long time I didn't get bulk order like this and it made me excited so much all of sudden!  Yes before this, I was into crochet and doing it as hobby or leisure as you already know.

Aktiviti sepanjang Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan

.: Assalamualaikum:.

So, hari ni dah masuk fasa ke berapa eh kita berkurung?

Awal-awal ritu rajin la nak countdown bagai tapi bila dah selalu sangat dah lupa dah..huhu..

Ni dah ramadan. Siap dah masuk 10 malam terakhir dah pun.

Tapi masih lagi dalam PKP yang ditambah B iaitu Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Bersyarat.

Sepanjang PKP nak masuk 3 bulan ni banyaklah pulak benda terjadikan. 

Dengan mula-mula in my own POV, hepi hikhikhik. Sebab boleh rehat seketika dengan kesibukan duniawi kerja-kerja nih. Tahun lepas siap pikei boleh tak aku nak mintak cuti sebulan tak buat ape-ape just tido dalam bilik dan merefleksi diri. huhuhu.

Rasa tahun 2019 soo much extrovert thingy aku buat sampai penat sangat huhuhu. Penat dengan ape aku pun tak sure. Sebab tu siap mengarut nak apply cuti sebulan boley tak boss?? hohoho.

So, benda dah melanda negara. Bukan negara je. Tapi satu dunia kena lockdown. So, cuba berfikiran positif dan nilah masanya kita nak berehat kununnya. Minggu first and second best la. Bangun tido sambung tido. Kemas bilik, sambung tido. Sambung tido, bukak FB, tengok drama dan repeat. Perghh!.. Macam dunia ini ana yang punya. 

Tak habis dengan tu aktiviti mendapur pulak. Dapur kat umah time ni ibarat restaurant. Nak makan bagitau je. Tukang beli barang ade. Tukang buat pun ade. Tukang sepah pun tak ketinggalan. kan kan kan.

Omma dan appa dah tersenyum lebar dah bila sama anak-anak solat berjemaah setiap kali masuk waktu. Terubat lah kot rasa dihati ayah bila semua solat berjemaah macam kecik2 dulu walaupun tak dapat nak solat jumaat. Imam kampung ada.. imam import mesir pun ade. 

Untungnya walaupun berkurung, adik beradik aku duk dalam Pagar Rumah yang sama jadi tak de rasa berkurunglah sangat. Petang-petang siap boleh form 2 team untuk main bola kadut kat halaman rumah. Stay fit katenya. Kalau biasa tak sempat nak berkumpul time ni la menjadi. 

Memang kitorang tak keluar langsung waktu awal-awal. Hanya ketua interim je yang keluar. Nampak tak betapa patuhnya kita kepada arahan negara.. Gittew. 

Macam aku sendiri kalau keluar pun sebab gi ambil ubat ayah kat hospital. Lepas amik terus balik umah. Dah tak boleh nak merawang ke tempat lain dah. First sebab malas. Second sebab tak de keperluan. Barang dapur atau toiletries sume dah kirim kat abang dan adik aku untuk dibeli.

 Minggu ke-2 PKP pulak dapat tawaran dari Urusetia Pembangunan dan Kebajikan Wanita Negeri Kelantan (uKekwa) untuk jahit PPE bagi kegunaan frontliners KKM. Satu family join yang ni memang rare! Abang ipar aku la yang paling semangat nak jahit. Ye la kat KL dia ade kedai jahit. Haruslah tunjuk bakat terpendam. 

Yang kedua bersemangat abang-abang aku. masing-masing tak nak kalah jugak terus bawak mini portable mesin jahit untuk turut mengembleng tenaga buat PPE. Nampak macam mudah, tapi terkial2 jugaklah mula-mula tu. Nak potong kain lagi nak jahit camane lagi. Tapi memang best lah sebab semua join sampai anak-anak buah pun datang menolong. 

3 hari kitorang berjaya menyiapkan 50 hoodie dan 104 sarung kasut. Okey la dengan pertolongan 3 mesin portable biasa dan 2 mini portable. Ruang tamu omma jadi mangsa tapi tuan badan redha dan seronok kalau tengok riak muka tu. Tak yah tolong masak kat dapur pun tak pe waktu ni.hikhikhik.

masuk minggu ke 5, baru datang otak business bila ramai yang menempah mask muka kait. Memang tak de niat nak amik tempahan crochet tapi "dia mari denga tok kaba sobat' (baca:rezeki) bila beta up dan status mask muka ku yang merah membara semangat waja. Tujuan asal post tu hanya nak bgtau je yang i pown ade mask jugak hikhikhik walaupun negara kekurangan sumber mask ni. Dengan kata lain nak show off skill la 😂. 

Sekali ramai yang nak tempah dan time tu dah tak de aktiviti ape dah nak buat. Oklah tempahan dibuka. Apabila dibuka, jadi mimpi ngeri pulak sebab tak cukup tido 😂. Tapi tak pe. Sebab dapat duet extra yang mana dah selamat beli barang-barang keperluan Pippin + cadar baru hikhikhik. Orang lain sibuk dengan baju raya kasut raya aku sibuk nak cadar raya.. hew

Tu la lebih kurang cerita yang berlaku dalam kehidupan beta sepanjang PKP. Tahun 2020 yang penuh dengan kesukaran tapi dalam kesukaran tetap ada kesenangan. Kenangan yang akan tetap ukuh di sanubari jadi esok-esok bolehlah bercerita kepada generasi akan datang pasal wabak ni. 

Since aku paling suka dengar cerita orang-orang tua dari POV mereka sendiri pasal sesuatu perkara berlaku zaman diorang macam pendaratan jepun, perang blabla, jadi aku nak save something yang boleh aku pulak tukang bercerita kepada anak cucu esok-esok. Mirip Bilbo Baggins bercerita pengembaraannya menentang Smaug kepada Frodo Baggins and da friends. Aku pun tengah menentang jugak. Menentang makhluk halus si Covid -19~

Like I have some free time to blogging. Yeah. So, this post gonna be in English since I am going to post about crochet stuff here and there. Yeah I know. It really take me long time to writing about crochet. My ultimate hobby.

Actually this year I not really active doing crochet thingy since I was quite pack back then. Start from doing preparation for my sister's wedding, umrah journey, work stuffs, hari raya blablabla so I not have so much crochet time compare last year. I also stop taking order even some people ask me for class or product. But yeah. I politely need to decline the offers. I am so sorry for being like that.

But, since my BFF cik yang gonna give a birth to her little princess sooner, I challenged myself to crochet a baby girl cardigan for Cik Yang's daughter. I actually can buy something like baby thingy for new born gift, but not for Cik Yang's.

Don't worry baby. your aunt has at least 20 years experiences in handling now born baby hikhikhik

I thought carefully what should I make for her. Before this, I had crocheted baby blanket, gown, mittens and others so to make it more special, I made baby cardigan which i never crochet yet. I always want to make cardigan but not have afford to do because it quite tricky and complicated if the steps went wrong.

So, for the pattern I learn from youtube. I love simple yet detail pattern.

my favourite weekend should be like this. and I don't mind to speak only with mind this time. huhu

She was born on last July therefore I must hurry up. Even I try my best to make ASAP but still took 3 weeks for me to finish. I only crochet in weekend but in weekend I attended many family activities that I brought my crochet stuffs attach together with me.

The result quite stunning too. Ohh.. When can I make for my own for my little junior too ;'(

Tak jawab dosa, jawab tanda sayang..hiks.

Hiks, tahun ni jarang sangat ada masa nak berblog bagai. Busy dengan pelbagai urusan. Biasalah tu kan. Kesempatan yang ada ini, I dengan penuh rasa rendah diri nak umumkan bahawa ATAS LOTENG PRODUCTION kembali aktif selepas beberapa tahun senyap.

Keputusan ni diambil selepas setahun berfikir (pergh lama beno). Lepas amik master hari tu, penah fikir untuk aktifkan kembali ber-crochet, tapi time tu tak sangka bertali arus rezeki ikut cabang lain. Jadi terpaksa tanggung seketika untuk projek kait-mengait ni.

Buat keputusan ni bukan satu keputusan yang senang tau memandangkan kerja dengan orang paling senang untuk mendapat sesuap nasikan. Tapi kerja dengan orang ni apabila semua kerja nak dilepaskan kat kita, dia nampak sangaaat tak adil kat situ. Dari terus menjadi kuli orang yang suka ekploitasi kan kita, why not kita sendiri exploitasi diri sendiri (=.="). Ada rezeki lebih boleh bagi reward kepada diri sendiri..kekekkeke.. Lagipun bab reseki ni, Allah swt yang tentukan. Yang penting ada ikhtiar nak buat apa selepas berdoa. InsyaAllah, rezeki Allah itu luas.

Jadi, before anything else, since dah lama tinggalkan fans of Atas Loteng kesepian, aku rasa aku perlukan kembali semangat lama yang memeriahkan Page Atas Loteng Production. So, daku nak buat GIVE AWAY sempena comeback ni. Hee..

CROCHET TIME: Lovely Crochet Class 3

.: Assalamualaikum:.

Hey guys.. Happy Malaysia Day.. I am wishing for better Malaysia for future generation :D

......

I am quite busy this period.. yeah..as Master student of course! Besides, there are plenty of works waiting for me to finish as we grow up..  right?..

So.. my third class of crochet was happened last 2 weeks actually. It was happened on 31 August 2015 somewhere at Kota Bharu after came back from Brunei Study Trip... It was rushing but to think kak Zai (the one who invited me to teach crochet stuff to participants), I don't feel burdensome.  It was cooled!.. I received new students a lot.. Thanks to Nisa' Kelantan for organizing this event so I can improve my teaching skill and improve myself to be a good crocheter. Like Chan Yeol said, " I feel matured one level ;P "..


The event went well but sadly, the participants can't finish their product within time provided so, it made me feel little sad because last time participants can finish well..

There were maybe because of some factors.. the teacher was not enough skill? or too tired ? or not prepared well ?(yes, this part I blamed myself, I need to make well preparation. Or maybe the location was not really convenience for crochet activity or the number of participants quite a lot, so I can't personally teach them.. I should discuss with kak Zai about this thinggy next time.

However, as I said, the class went well, and the children did well just they can't finish the syllabus :)

 Like always, before start crochet activity, they must hear some theory of crochet stuff..ngee

 They paid attention I see.. good :D

 Dedicate me is dedicate.. teaching them from  zero..

 So.. it's time to crochet ..

 My precious student :D.. haha.. kak Wani was always attend to Lovely Crochet Class.. and she is now expert in crochet.. :D

CROCHET TIME: Teaching Gan crochet glove ;)

This is the story about Gan. My chinese friend, staying in the room  front of my door.  She just move to the room early semester .  We always meet up at toilet actually and from there we become close buddies..haha.. we also have lunch and dinner together.  we are 88 line (other students at my level are younger at least 2 or 3 years than us) therefore it easier to be closed actually.

She is taking master in something related with architecture (sorry I don't know what her course she enroled..kekeke) and will graduate in this year. jia you..jia you..

She knew I can crochet and one day  I offered her  to try crochet, she immediately excited and agreed want it (that time I show her my little red riding hood cape).

She request to make a hand glove to give as a birthday present to her friend who is studying at oversea.

 So, crochet  class is about to start.

Focus..focus.. I told her I took at least three days to understand crochet.. haha..

Actually this is my first time making full hand gloves too.. thank god because before this I had made similar thing which was fingerless glove. So, it was not really difficult to start even both fingerless glove and full hand glove starting point is different because I got see the pattern in my mind XD. 

 Here we go.. I just crochet the starting pattern and after that, Gan continued crochet after I show her how to do.

She crocheted with a neat stitches and for me she did fast.

 After test, try and error pattern, we done thiss... yippi.. for her and for me.. haha.. this was also my first full glove crochet too..haha..


p/s: took at least two days to finish the class.. that also because we got trouble which was the size of the right hand side and left hand side were not balance. I don't know why it happened until we felt give up, but suddenly I got know why..it is because we were using different size of hook -.-"my mistake.. hohoho...

How do you think? it is nice right? hope her friend will like it. She make it with all of love.
