CROCHET TIME: MAKING A CROCHET MASK

 .: Assalamualaikum:.

So, because of Covid-19, our country last time short stock of mask. I even that time went-back to a plenty of shops in several time to find the mask for daily usage. Unfortunately the stock really not in market. 

Since that time (on February) I thought of making a crochet mask but I not having much time to create the pattern. Luckily there were a crochet group on Facebook shared the diagram pattern.

I am so lucky so I decide to make it one for myself. You know it is better to protect ourselves pretty well since Corona doesn't give us a chance. Once it in there hard  to go out!

The pattern pretty simple I thought. It contain of ch, hdc, dc, sl st. Pretty easy with 14 layers. Even though it easy even thoughI took half day to making it 😂. Yeah lazy me is lazy.

How do you think about my first crochet mask?

Reading pattern is easy but to understand it as whole will take a time. And I was done making myself a sexy mask face 😁

Every time I went out to do some work, I wore it pretty well. So many eyes starred at me but it's okey. Maybe My mask pretty outstanding with the red color😏. Red is my favorite color anyway.

At hospital to took my dad's medicine

Since the mask is not really help for filtering process (yes, why you wore it at first? It's because to avoid carona right?) I put tissue inside. The tissue I folded into two so it kinda thick and I can avoid from being cluster. At least.

After several time, I just want my mask become girlish so I put flowers on it 😂😂😂. Beside putting tissue alone, this time I made a layer with cotton cloth inside. I think it was better than putting tissue alone as a filter. So my mask has 3 of filtration layer which means ...SAFE to use!

Since I wore it anywhere I went, it attracted people. When i uploaded the picture wearing the mask face (just to share my excited state moment having my own mask face), plenty asked me to make one or two for them.

From making one or two, I then made it more than 50 pieces I think because everyone asked me for it.. hihi. So, I got some backup income during PKP which I felt soooooooooo happy and yeah!. Who gonna say no for money fall from sky right!

With that money I bought my cat some medical stuffs since Pippin was diagnosed with sporotrichosis. 

I am so grateful all this time coz I had some back up or side income that I never though I can get it!

I mean it was long time I didn't get bulk order like this and it made me excited so much all of sudden!  Yes before this, I was into crochet and doing it as hobby or leisure as you already know.

CROCHET TIME: LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD CROCHET

Hi.. Korang penah bace tak citer budak-budak 'Little Red Riding Hood' ?? aku rasa penah baca cite dia masa zaman sekolah rendah dulu.. maklum la mase sekolah rendah me was a librarian you..kekeke.. time tu kan membaca budaya kitaaaa..

eerr..disebabkan ni posting pasal crochet, aku perlu write it in english.. senang untuk reference semua pembaca.. kan.. so tak boleh lah nak melalut sangat..kekekke

So, guys.. do u have heard about 'Little Red Riding Hood before this right??.. This post not about to tell that fairy story actually.. But.. this post is something related to that costume.. haha.. yes.. good guess.. I am going to talk/story about red riding hood crochet that was being requested by this sister, cik Nana.

She had asked me either I can make a blanket like red riding hood to her 9 months little baby.. I felt I want to try crochet something new like this so I accepted her request since she said it doesn't a matter how long I take to finish it. hee.. well.. I just felt I want to make it doesn't means I should be hurry since I also busy with my master degree, right.

this is the example of red riding hood crochet. don't you think it is really cute if you also had it one??..

So, I try to find any free crochet pattern for this red riding hood.. if there was free pattern, so it would be great because I can save my time to create my own pattern. So.. after search it on google, there was just a free pattern for only hood. But never mind, maybe I can do something by my own, my brain said..haha.. so, that hoodie crochet pattern I got from this site, CrafterChick. Thank you so much for your free pattern.. I really appreciate it!.. her pattern is easy to understand, so I can make my own hoodie at first attempt..

 So..here we go..start crochet the hoodie after understand the pattern..

Firstly, i drew  the the design of the overall cloth to be looked..

So, after finish making hoodie, I continued crochet the cape. Cik Nana asked me to make it larger than actual baby size, so her baby can use it for long time, maybe until 5th birthday of the her :D. For cape, I just follow the crochet rules, where for increasing stitches, I do 2 double crochet for each hoodie stitch. I keep crochet 2DC for 5 rows, and it became wider. After that, just continue crochet with 1 DC for each rows until I reached the needed length of cape.

actually the red riding hood can be finish in a week, but fortunately in my case, i took almost 3 weeks.

 in the middle of crocheting, Cik Nana asked me either I can combine the red color of yarn with other color,of course it is not a big matter to combine, so she requested to combine with these colors, red,marron, and cream.. so..the pattern become like picture above.

Ja..Jaaang.. here is the final product..

Before I forget, FYI, I sused 4.5 mm of hook size and the material is NONA yarn. I used almost 5 rolls of the yarns. 3 rolls for red and 1 roll for red and 1 roll for cream.


For finishing edge, I make it curvy so, the final product turned really cute..

I got no baby to try..so....hahahahha

Happy me is happy when Cik Nana is satisfied with the red riding hoodand this is her little baby wearing the hood.. for this time it can be a blanket so I hope this little baby can grow up quickly...hihi

Crochet time: Mermaid Costume for Newborn Baby

had I mentioned before I successfully crochet a mermaid costume for my new born baby girl which is my niece?.. yea.. I had talk about it here .. excuse me for the brutal title that I put for that entry ..hihi..

lovely baby, right..she is my 29th niece..ngee...

Since I got at least 4 newborn babies this year (hey.. don't misunderstood there..haha..these are my sisters-in-law..not mine..yet!).. 2 baby girls and 2 baby boys ( one of the baby boys was passing away in my sister-in-law's womb several days before due date. so sorry to my brother and sister in law. May Ali Karimi always in Allah's care)..  I want to make for the last baby girl something different and surprise..

that's why I choose to make the mermaid costume.

I took almost three days to finish the mermaid costume including the top and head band. It was my first time making that.I took the pattern on internet which I need to travel from blog to blog to get the pattern..haha.. So.. finally I found it on this blog Wichercraft: Mermaid costume pattern..

however, I change her pattern to suit my counting. Her pattern quiet confusing me because hard to understand her pattern formula i even made twice for mermaid tail.. but to tell you, I really love the idea how she made the fins.. thank you for that Ms Courtney Wiche..I really appreciate it :D

So.. I started make it on the day we went back to hometown on my brother's car. Going back from Penang to kelantan took at least 6 hours.. i started with tail first because I also has no patience to look how it will be.. haha.. actually I did not finish crochet mermaid tail on the car because I prefer to sleep and sing for looong journey.. hahaha..

yeahh.. done with love..

We reached our home sweet home  at night. So I continued my crochet the day after. This year, I kinda not really busy with house chores so, I took that opportunity to stay in my room.. on my bed while crocheting.. until I finish all the stuffs which were mermaid tail, top and headband :D

 yeah.. just after finish, I went to my sister-in-law's house which is nearer to my house to show her what I made for her girl..yea.. she was so surprise.. and quickly wear it to Khaleela, my niece's name..Thank god.. It really suit her..

Mid Sem Break

Sejak aku sambung study kat USM nih.. kerap gilees aku balik kelantan.. kekekke.. sampai kawan aku pown tegur ingat aku balik sebab wat preparation tuk kawen.. heh!..sorry.. iouls da tutup buku about marriage nih.. lain la dia yang nak kawen ngan aku.. surely aku bukak tender balik.. erk.. hahaha.. gomenasai..gome.. joking around tahap kritikal.. kekekkeke..

tak de.. aku balik kampung langsung tak de kena mengena dengan urusan sulit seri paduka baginda hal-hal mengenai perkahwinan..tidak sama sekali.. i balek adalah disebabkan urusan beta dan MARA.. dan urusan BETA dan balik berhari raya..dan last sekali i balik adalah sebab urusan BETA DAN MISI-MISI BETA!..kikiki..

Alhamdulillah.. urusan BETA dan MARA dah pun selesai.. MARA dan pun sudi berurusan dengan beta.. jadi beta tak payah worried da mengenai hal yang satu ini.. Alhamdulillah :D.. Allah permudahkan urusan.. :D

dan minggu ke seterusnya.. beta balik kampung untuk beraya bersama sanak dan saudara.. baca tajuk ni " Dugaan Aidiladha 2014 : pengurusan SHAMISHA HOLIDAYS YANG HAMPEH !" yang penuh dengan liku-liku kehidupan..haha..ayat..x nak kalah..

Firstly.. misi pertama adalah :menjadi cikgu Bengkel Crochet My Lovely Crcohet Siri 2 yang siri 1 nya.. aku citer kat "My Lovely Crochet: Bengkel Asas Mengait Siri" .. nanti tuk siri 2 beta akan wat entri baru k.. k..k.. (lirik mata ke sebelah kiri~)

Secondly.. Misi kedua aku adalah :gi buat passport sebab nanti banyak program yang melibatkan overseas.. so nak tak nak wajib lah sorang-sorang ade passport.. hii.. first time wat passport.. teroswat tuk 5 tahun.. sponsor passport I haruslah my lovely Omma..kikiki.. Omma.. lepas ni Ada gi korea jange maroh deh...ngeeee...

hehehe.. ke korea kita.. kali ni..insyaAllah jadik klu x clash ngan kerja2 akedemik beta :D

ingat balik wat kat KB.. orang x ramai.. urusan akan smooth dan cepat dannn sebagainyalah.. tapi..tapi..tapi... hampir 4 jam jugak lah.. i dan kakak i, kak Biey berkampung kat wisma persekutuan KB tu.. dari kul 10.30 pagi sampai kul 2.30 petang menapak kat situ.. berapa ramainyaaaaa orang nak berurusan dengan passport nih.. huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhu.. tu pown ari selasa baru gi amik.. kekekkee..

bersabar lah anak..

thirdly.. Misi ketiga beta adalah menjadi numerator  untuk soalan soal selidik geran universiti berkaitan dengan Wakaf.. sasarannya adalah orang islam di seluruh Semenanjung Malaysia..

 so.. aku dan Najwa terlibat untuk jadi PIC di sekitar KB.. kitorang pilih Masjid Muhammadi  sebab situ ramai orang beriktikaf, program-program agama dan orang solat kan.. so.. untuk hari yang mula-mula tu.. nampak cam tak susah lah sebab nak mintak orang jawab soal selidik je.. lagipun ade token yang disediakan untuk volunteers nih.. alhamdulillah.. ari selasa start wat survey..ari khamis da ciap.. settle sume walaupun ade masalah2 teknikal yang melanda.. biasalah kita berinteraksi dengan yag dinamakan hemosepien.. haruslah banyak konflik.. kihkihkih.. mujur anak buah aku, Iha beria-ria nak ikot aku wat keja ni.. kengkadang malas gak nak (bukan kengkadang la..almost) beramah mesra dengan lelaki.. ala lelaki biasa la.. time2 gini nak mengayat la kejanya walaupun kat umah ade anak 10 orang.. dengan adenya anak buah aku.. maka.. dia tolong aku untuk cover aku sebab garang dia sebijik macam aku masa sekolah rendah.. haha.. dia perasan orang tu duk tanya aku memancam..da kawin belum..dan blablabla yang rimas nak jawab.. so anak buah aku potong line teros.. haha.. so sebagai membalas jasa baik beliau..teros makciknya yang mithali ini blaja makan kepci..haha

time ni lapaq gile sebab dari pagi smapai petang x makan.. ciap keja baru gi makan..

Fourthly, Misi yang keempat.. hee.. yang ni langsung tidak tercapaiiiii.. sepatutnya 21 Oct 2014, ari selasa tu aku ade minor surgery kat klinik pergigian Kota Bharu selepas 2 kali beta menangguh surgery itu atas alasan busy..kekekke.. bulan 6 ritu sebab ade interview kat Kl.. pown x pegi.. bagi tarikh baru.. pown cancel lagi..heee.. pasni kena call klinik tu mintak tarikh baru jela.. kekekke..nama je minor surgery ..tp seminggu gaklah bengkak muka beta... ingat entri " Gigi bongsuku yang aneh"dulu da wat sebelah kanan.. ni kena wat sebelah kiri lak untuk meneruskan kemandirianku sebagai manusia..kikiki..

haa.. tu je la misi-misi yang aku sebenarnya tak bertapa pown kat rumah.. memang seminggu tu kerja aku berulang ke KB la.. cuma yang lainnya.. berulang tak yah dah pakai bas cityliner.. yeaaa.. akhirnya... omma ku approved aku boleh bawak keta dengan jayanya.. naseb baik ade keta kak biey.. so.. urusan aku dalam menyelesaikan misi-misi diatas tu berlangsung dengan baek.. kalau tak sebelum-sebelum ni.. suruh abe e hantar.. suruh bangbil hantar... sangat-sangat la rasa why i need to bother others when I effort to do it by myself ~.. heeee.. kini lesen keta aku berfungsi dengan jayanya dah..heee... syabbasss detaji..syabbassss..kikikikiki..~

dan lagi yang aku rasa best.. abe yong kak long belanja kitorang makan kat Seoul Garden.. wah.. ak memang terujaa.. teruja.. teruja.. Seoul Garden kat KBMall aku tak penah try lagi.. ari tu terlepas makan ngan abe Din.. Seoul Garden KBMall deabak.. rasa nak makan lagi..hahha.. aku cakap kat kak long.. lepas berbulan-bulan aku lost appetite.. makan kat Seoul Garden cam appetite aku da datang balik da.. (caya tak berat aku sebelum nih 37-38kg)..kekekke.. ari selasa baru nih aku timbang da naek 40 kg da..haha.. cam hepi jew duk Penang..kekekke

malam keesokan plak.. abe din  kak chik belanja kitorang kat Food Village.. makan steamboat..my peberetttt..yeah.. tapi Seoul Garden lagi best.. kikiki..tapi aku kipas-susah-mati Dubu-budu-Seoul Food.. bila ntah nak try gi makan yang kat Gurney tu..heee..

Crochet Dress untuk newborn Baby dan Set Mengait :D

aha..

apakah perasaan anda bila tengok hasil yang anda kait cantik je kat baby ?..haa.. perasaan saya sangat2 lah teruja.. kalau boleh nak amik baby tu jadik jadi baby sdiri pastu kait bebanyak everything apa yang saya rasa nak wat.. haha.. overdose..

ari tu makcik aku selamat lah lahir baby.. pastu sebab pakcik aku, ayah su pown minta i kaitkan baju tuk baby dia satu.. design ape.. i yang decide.. kekekke.. so.. walaupun terlambat sebulan.. mintak wat sebelum puasa.. raya ke berapa baru aku ciap wat.. huhu..nak wat camane den bizi..kekeke..

weee.. suka sangat kaler ni.. red rose yang benar-benar memukau..ngee.. pattern ni aku ubah skit dari pattern yang Ms Teressa tunjukkan sbb nak kasik kembang lebih..hee..
